Naomi Reis was born in Shiga, Japan and grew up in Kyoto and upstate NY (MFA University of Pennsylvania, BA Hamilton College). She recently completed a residency at the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop in New York, and has been included in exhibitions at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), Exit Art, Vox Populi, and the AIA Center for Architecture + Design Gallery in San Francisco. Publications include New American Paintings (2005 & 2010), Anthem Magazine (2009), and Dwell (2008). She also copy edits and translates for publications, ad agencies and retailers, and currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
