Sonnet After Ted Berrigan: III

I feel overtaken by Swiss and not so Gouda
A fine instrument, easily breakable
On the bus, I run into a touch
Why isn't the Vision in the new Avengers movie?
There's a poem on the wall called "Paint."
Halfway to the store, I remember my wallet
Has no dollars, then you, who is no longer alive
Summer bites, with its bugs and memories
I'll never look at a can of corn the same way
Think about them again, after not thinking about them
"Better Dead Than Red"
"Well, this is another fine mess you’ve gotten us into"
Or a marshmallow roast at Laura's house
This year’s Spam Jam is April 28 in Waikiki
